Rana sanga ,who had been inflicted with over eighty wounds had fought with sores in both his hands till he met his death. Inspite of suffering from multiple wounds and pierced with arrows, Bhisma pitamah had, by his power of will, kept  death at a distance, till desired planetory configuration of sun took place. There is no doubt in the adage that whereas  the brave die only once, the coward sees numerous moments of death in his life.
